Sports Massage

Sports Remedial massage is deep tissue massage that helps create the conditions neccessary for the body to return to optimal health after an injury. It's used to treat strains, sprains, recovering broken bones, bruising, and any injury where the skin is intact or during scar repair.

Deep tissue massage removes blocked circulation, damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesions left after injury, it speeds up the recovery process and encourages complete healing.

Remedial Massage has particular success with chronic back pain and injuries that have resisted previous treatment attempts. Once a serious injury is properly healed, further treatment is only needed if another injury is sustained. Sportsmen and women attend regularly to ensure that small injuries are treated before they reduce performance and become debilitating. Recurrent injuries are injuries that have never been effectively diagnosed and treated.

The intention is to fix a mechanical problem, all-round health improvement is seen: better sleep, increased vitality and performance levels, as well as increased mobility, strength and range of movement.

Some common conditions that can be successfully treated are:

• Achilles Tendonopathy • Tendonitis • Shin Splints • Groin Strain • Tennis Elbow • Frozen Shoulder • Hamstring Strain• Scar tissue • Adhesions • Whiplash • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome • Repetitive Strain Injury • Runner's Knee •
