Reflexology

Reflexology, or zone therapy, is an complementary therapy involving the physical act of applying pressure to the feet, hands, or ears with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.

There is no consensus among reflexologists on how reflexology works; a unifying theme is the idea that areas on the foot correspond to areas of the body, and that by manipulating these one can improve health through one's qi. Reflexologists divide the body into ten equal vertical zones, five on the right and five on the left.

Reflexology will leave you feeling utterly cared for, some may feel cleansed and sleepy, others re-energised and focused. This ancient treatment allows one to see the needs of the body first hand and when mixed with the concept of foot reading, this is a therapy that really can amaze and surprise at how relaxing it can be. Also avaliable as hand reflexology.

Facial Reflexology

A serene treatment which can also be complemented with the use of Thai massage sticks. Working on the concept that various parts of the face represent the anatomical structure of the body, connected by nerve endings, much like hand and foot reflexology. This 30 minute treatment is best when incorporated into another treatment due to its gentle nature and improved effect once blood flow and relaxation has been created within you beforehand.
